Send feedback
Send feedback for Course publication disagreements, bugs, or confusing behavior. Add an email if you want a reply. General feedback never includes a track or screenshots.
When reporting from Analyze, you can separately choose to include a marked screen and source track.
For privacy requests, account deletion help, and App Store, TestFlight, or Google Play questions, write to privacy@foil.run.
Common questions
- A recording did not upload
- Uploads only happen while you are signed in. A ride saved on your phone while you are signed in uploads on its own. One saved while you were signed out stays on that phone: sign in, find it in Record under On this iPhone (On this phone on Android), and tap Upload to my account. A Watch recording transfers to the paired iPhone first, so keep both awake and nearby until the transfer finishes.
- The sign-in code did not arrive
- Codes arrive by email and can take a minute. Check your spam folder, then request a new code. After five wrong attempts a code stops working and you need a fresh one.
- The wind direction looks wrong
- Foil Run cannot read wind from GPS alone. It starts from what you enter, a weather lookup, or a direction you used before at that spot, then balances your tacks around it. Set the direction by hand on the analysis page and the rest of the numbers follow.
- Heart rate is missing from a session
- Heart rate is recorded on Apple Watch and only uploads when you turn that on in the native app. It is never included in public Course rows.
- I want to delete my account
- In the app, open the Account tab. On the web, sign in at foil.run/account. Either way, choose Privacy & account deletion. You can also email privacy@foil.run. Deletion removes your account, your private sessions, and the tracks stored with them. Recordings still on your phone stay there until you delete them from the app or remove it.
How Foil Run works
Find help with track files, ride stats and scores in the Foil Run guides.
If you want the reasoning behind the numbers, including what Foil Run deliberately refuses to claim, How Foil Run decides walks through it.
Privacy and terms
The Privacy Policy covers what is stored, what stays private, and how to delete it. The Terms cover the rest.
